30 Day Blogging Challenge: Day 10

Day 10:
Something You're Afraid Of

My number one biggest fear is probably the same as most people's...

Losing loved ones.
I've always had a fear of losing my parents, sister, and other family members. Now that I'm married and have Presley, that fear has multiplied a hundred times over...especially since my cousin Julie lost her husband Ron 3 years ago.

Ron was an absolutely amazing, Christian man who loved his wife and their two sons. He was the guy that everyone loved to be around because he was so sweet and sincere. He placed Julie and the boys on a pedestal...you knew where his heart stood when it came to his family.

Ron's death was very sudden and we were all devastated. We couldn't imagine Ron not being in our lives any longer, but more than that I couldn't imagine losing my husband at 38 years old. I know that it wouldn't be any easier if he was 98 years old, but he was just so young. Parker and Cooper were only 8 and 10...old enough to understand what happened, and thankfully old enough to be able to always remember what an incredible father they had.
It breaks my heart every time I hear a story about someone losing their spouse or their child. I can't imagine anything being more devastating than that. Needless to say, this is definitely my number one fear.

I couldn't agree more! SO tragic, I'm so sorry for your family girl, I can't even imagine!

Lets just pray over our children daily that we all remain safe and healthy for as long as possible!

I am so sorry for your loss - that is heartbreaking, but your words were so kind and soft.

Death scares me to pieces. I pray everyday for everyone around me and certainly don't take anything for granted!

I totally agree. That's why we should always cherish the moments we have with one another. He looks like he was an awesome dad and I know he left that legacy!

That is so sad, but I know that he is looking down on his boys and just so proud of them!

We have lost several young people in my community over the past year and it has made me realize so much about just how precious life is!
