30 Day Blog Challenge: Dream Home

Before I get started on my dream home, I wanted to share some pictures of my little sweet P...who was NOT so sweet this morning.

Today is mismatch day at Presley's preschool and OH.MY.WORD. Had you told me a few years ago that Presley would be so vocal about what she would be wearing at 2 years old, I would have never believed it. I wasn't even putting her in anything crazy, but she screamed the entire time I was getting her dressed this morning. And Lord help me when I put 2 different shoes on her feet. 30 minutes later, she finally calmed down and we headed to school. It was a miracle that I was only 5 minutes late to work...insanity!

Now on to my dream home(s)! Sorry I havent participated in the Blog Challenge since Friday, but I haven't had much time on the computer. I thought about going back and doing each one, but lets be honest....I dont have time for that either!!
Day 16:
Dream Home!!

Since we're dreamin' here, why can't I have more than one?!
Every good, southern woman needs a beautiful plantation home with lots of trees! This one works for me!
Surprise, Surprise...I HAVE to have my Brownstone in NYC. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
Then Clinton and I can head to our cabin in Montana once a month for a little peace and quiet.

Ok...on a serious note now. My dream home isn't really "too" much to ask for. I want plenty of room for our 3 kids we're gonna have one day, a formal dining room for the holidays, a craft room, and a huge kitchen with a little hearth room off the side. *Sigh* I like older homes with some character....tall ceilings, lots of trim work, etc.
There are 2 kinds of homes I'm typically attracted to...

Your classic, white home like the one from Father of the Bride. I love the little picket fence, the ivy growing up the side of the house, the big tree in the front yard. It doesn't get much more perfect than this....unless we're talking about Craftsmen style homes....

I don't know what it is about a craftsmen style house, but I absolutely love them. They have so much character about them.
Thankfully Clinton shares the exact same taste in homes that I do. We both want to build our next house and these two styles both rank at the top of our list.
Head over to Katies blog if you'd like to play along, too, or at least see what the other ladies are dreaming of!

Oh girl, story of my life about getting a toddler dressed! When Addaline is in a mood, she does the SAME thing. Thankfully it isn't often, but when she does, LOOK OUT! I can totally sympathize with ya there!

Love all the homes you picked!
