30 Day Blog Challenge- Day 6,7, and 8...oops!

Happy Monday Ladies! I'm obviously a little behind on the 30 Day Blog Challenge, but I just didn't have time this weekend. Here we go!

Day 6:

A Picture of Something That Makes You Happy

Do I really have to explain?? The two loves of my life :)

Day 7:

Favorite Movies

My #1 all time favorite movie EVER is....

Steel Magnolias!! I believe that every southern girl should see this movie, and it surprises me when I find out that people haven't! This is the movie I love to pop in no matter what mood I'm in...whether I want a good laugh, or a good cry.

I really have a lot of faves though. Here's a few...

When Harry Met Sally

Christmas Vacation

Sleepless in Seattle

Gosh now that I'm thinking about it more, I really should've added these, too, haha:

Pretty In Pink

You've Got Mail

Elf

Home Alone 1 & 2

Father of the Bride 1 &2

It's A Wonderful Life (can you tell I LOVE Christmas movies?!)

And I'm sure theres a lot more!!

Day 8:

A Place You've Traveled To

My favorite vacation spot is NYC!!! I've lived in Memphis my entire life and I never did much traveling as a child. Since I live in the outskirts of Memphis, I don't really get much of the "city" life. Heck, even if I lived in the heart of downtown, I guess nothing really quite compares to the rush and excitement of NYC. I guess thats why I love it so much. Its different...its energizing...and I'm slightly obsessed with it!! I apparently have all my pics uploaded to my desktop at home, and I couldn't find any on FB (which is still perplexing me a little bit). So, I've copied a few from google, and a few from my BFF's fb page.

Central Park

Rockefeller Center

Greenwich Village...which FYI is my FAVE place to be in NYC!!!

Now that I've been quite a few times, I don't have to worry about going and filling up our time with sight seeing and tourist attractions. My favorite trip to NYC was when we were able to just go and be there. One Saturday we went to The Village and just walked the streets, shopped at local markets, had lunch at a small cafe... It was amazing! I could totally live there!! If you haven't been, plan it now...but plan it for Christmas. It really is magical!

One of my other favorite places is Banff, in Alberta Canada. We went there for our honeymoon and it was absolutely breathtaking. Here is the place we stayed, Buffalo Mountain Lodge. This picture is from google, but this is exactly what I woke up to every single morning...

We spent most of our trip sight seeing. We had never seen so much beautiful scenery. We got to visit the glacier in Banff National Park....

This bus actually takes you up on the glacier. It doesn't look very big, but the tire was about 6 feet tall hah!

Clinton and I are dying to go back...maybe for our 10 year. Next time we're going to stay in the Fairmont Hotel. We got to see it one day like this...

and the next day like this....

It really takes your breath away when you see it. Its just sitting there all alone on the side of the mountain, in the middle of all the trees. What I would give to be there NOW!!

Well, thats all! Promise I'll try and do better next time so that its not such a long post!
PS...I'll do a separate post from the weekend...have some cute pics of Presley in her costume!!
