Wishful Wednesday

" I wish" I could spend 3 minutes in Kristen Stewarts shoes!!

Lets be honest....3 minutes is not enough time to do something for the greater good, so I figure I might as well benefit from it! And of course those 3 minutes would have to consist of her spending time with Rob. And if it just so happens that those 3 minutes end up being in the middle of a make out scene, then I guess I'll just have to take one for the team.

side note: Clinton is totally aware of this and fully understands my situation. I think.

So there is my Wishful Wednesday! Head over to Kelseys if you'd like to play along!

Hello Wednesday!

Good Mornin' and Happy Hump Day!!

First of all, I plan on doing Wishful Wednesday, but I'm still pondering on the topic.

Second, did y'all watch Biggest Loser last night?? I hate the green team!

Dont be fooled by the picture...they arent this nice. I really wish that they both could've voted off. They have the worst attitudes of any contestants I've ever seen on this show! In my book, niether one of them deserved this opportunity. I was really waiting for Jillian to knock one of them out. But she didn't.

On a totally separate note....here are a few pics of Presleys play room so far.

This was actually my wardrobe when I was younger...well like high school. It has some drawers on one side and a rod on the other. I figured we could use it to hang up her dress up clothes and stuff when she gets a little older :)

I have a few more things to do in there, but I think it turned out pretty cute. Also, I've been eyeing this bookshelf in Pottery Barn for a while. All $400 of it. I just wasn't paying it...I dont care how cute it is.

So we spent $50, and I got this!

Didn't Clinton do a wonderful job building it?? You can't really tell, but its HUGE! Just put it this way...my 6 person kitchen table is behind it and you can't even see it!
And I had to put this picture on here...
Presley has been on this kick where she sleeps with her baby...and her baby must have her blanket and bottle too. But I thought this picture was just too sweet :)

TWO MORE DAYS!

Well the stress and chaos of going out of town has begun.

I decided to not be the procrastinator that I can sometimes be, and started packing last night. I got all my clothes together, the bridesmaid dress, Clintons suit, then went to get his shirt and tie.

Wait. Let me jump back a few weeks. Heck, even months.

Clinton never wears a suit. Ever. So needless to say, the one that he owns was totally not happening. It was hunter green...yes, you heard me correctly, and had pleated pants. Enough said.

So I informed him 6 months ago that he was going to buy a new suit. Well, Clinton being the penny pincher that he is, decided that one from Target would suffice since he only needs one about once a year.

I did not argue with him.

However, he had "plenty of time" and felt no need to get the suit till last weekend. When we got there, they didn't have his size. So of course the one he had to go with is about 2 sizes too big. Whatever. We don't have time to get it tailored so its just going to have to work.

When I asked him about a shirt and tie, he informed me that he had "plenty." I shouldve known then that those were not reassuring words, but I trusted him.

Fast forward to last night:

I go into the closet to get Clinton a shirt and tie. He does have plenty of shirts...that is true. But how many shirts does he have that will look good with a suit?

One.

And its blue. He's suppose to wear white.

And how many ties does he have?

Two.

One is lime green. One is burgundy.

So, naturally I go into panic mode and make him stop watching his stupid hunting show for 5 minutes so he can come in there and try on his clothes. 30 minutes later, nothing was accomplished.

Then he looked at me and said "Candice, what are you worrying about? I dont understand why you always feel the need to worry. See, look at me. I'm calm, taking it easy...no worries here. I never have to worry."

And I said (well, maybe yelled).

"THATS BECAUSE YOU DONT HAVE TO!!!!! AT THE END OF THE DAY, YOU KNOW THAT I AM GOING TO TAKE CARE OF IT!!!!

Anyways, I had to call my sister this morning and ask her to bring some of Geoffs ties. My sweet mom also went and bought him a few today, and is letting him borrow one of my dads white shirts.

So now fiasco # 1 is out of the way...but I am sure that another one is bound to appear between now and Thursday morning.

Until then, I'm going to focus on the exciting things to come!

Thursday we will be landing about noon. We arent meeting anyone till dinner, so we're going to do a few things before checking into the hotel. We are going to the Red Rock Canyon and Hoover Dam!

Then Thursday night we'll be working our way up the strip!

Friday we are just going to do some shopping, and maybe a little more shopping. I'm super excited about the rehearsal dinner! We're eating at Canaletto in the Venetian hotel!!

Then Saturday we will be getting ready for the big event....the wedding of my beautiful sister and her finance!!

They are getting married at the Mandalay Bay Hotel...its gorgeous! The ceremony will be outside...

Isn't it beautiful?!

I can not wait! Its going to be so much fun...and worth all the little mishaps we experience until we get there!
On a completely opposite note, Presley and I are still sick :( She woke up around 4 or so this morning coughing her little head off. It was so pitiful. So we popped in the Blues Clues dvd and went about our business. I'm gonna miss my little love bug while I'm gone!
Well in case I don't blog tomorrow, yall have a wonderful week and weekend!

OH Monday...

Why did you come so soon???

Presley and I have a cold and we both feel like crap. I have to get better though....Vegas is in 3 days!!!!

This weekend was a pretty good one. Friday night we went to dinner....just me, Clinton, and Presley. I love it when we just do things as a family. Saturday Pres and I went on our normal run to Target, the mall, and we got her hair cut too. We ended the day just hanging out at the house. Clinton started painting her playroom while I ironed for 2 hours. Presley ended up spending the night with YaYa and Boppy (my parents, ) so Clinton and I slept in on Sunday...till 10! It was wonderful!! I took nyquil the night before, so I totally blame it on that.

Then I headed off to Jackson to see my wonderful friend Betsy!!

Betsy is expecting her little girl...Miss Lily Ann...very soon, so I went to celebrate with her at the shower! It was gorgeous...as I knew it would be! But of course I left my camera at home, so I'll have to wait for them to upload pics! It took Betsy over 2 hours to open up all her gifts haha! Lily is already one loved little baby! Shes our little miracle baby and I can't wait for her to get here!

After I got home, I watched the game. I was really pulling for the Vikings! I love Brett Favre and I dont care what you think! But I will tell you who I DON'T love....the Manning brothers! Sorry Laura! But Peyton is a prick and Eli is dumb as a bag of rocks. So I will definitely be cheering on the Saints Super Bowl weekend! GEAUX SAINTS!

I love this little lady!

So the other day I went to upload some pics, and imagine my surprise when I see this....

Haha I'm not gonna lie, I kinda jumped back when I saw it because it caught me so off guard!

Daddy informed me that Presley needed her own pair of Chanel sunglasses. I told him if he sends me to NYC again, Ill get her a $10 pair in China Town to go along with mine :)

Any of y'all remember this picture? Her first birthday party! Leigh Anne had gotten her this precious tutu and headband.

Well the headband has been passed down...
And Presley loves it! Every time it comes off, she starts yelling "Mama hair, Mama hair" ha!

This is her wiping off the babies mouth. It got a little dirty after she fed her some pizza ;)

Then a little milk to wash it down...who wouldnt want milk with their pizza?

I love this little girl more than life! Seeing her with her "babies" makes me want another one so bad!
***
Speaking of more babies....Clinton is crazy. He has been on this kick all weekend about me being pregnant. Let me start off first by saying that I. AM. NOT. PREGNANT! There is not even a possibility! But he keeps telling Presley that mama has a baby in her belly! What the crap is that about?? And every time I say I dont feel good (fyi...because I'm getting a cold), he informs me that its because I'm pregnant. Its really about to drive me nuts. Then tonight he tells me that he has picked out a boys name...Dallas. Really?? So I mentioned that my stomach has been hurting all day, and he tells me that its Dallas making me sick. Good Lord. I swear if he jinx's me and I end up pregnant, I'm gonna......
***
Ok, I'm not gonna do anything. I would be ecstatic, but seriously its just not the time.
***
Anyways, I hope ya'll have had a wonderful weekend! We finally finished Presleys play room and she is LOVIN' it! She literally never leaves it...unless shes coming to tell me and Clinton to come back there, too. I'm so glad that shes enjoying it!
***
Well, off to bed. Gotta get ready for my 3 day week...then VEGAS!!!!!!!!!

Friday Funny

Keeping up with Kelly & Co is hosting Friday Funny, and I had a perfect one for today!

Hahah! Candice sent me that this morning and I about died! If I remember correctly, there were a lot of UT folks that laughed at us Memphis Tigers when Cal split, so I find this just a little bit funny!
Now on to some other exciting news! For all of yall that had to hear me go back and forth about this....I finally got Presleys bedding!!
I've actually liked this shabby chic bedding from Target for a really long time, so I finally went with it.
I love this sweet little pillow!
And this banner...even though I have no idea what I'll do with it. But it was only $8.
And then some curtains...love the ruffles!

And this is totally random, but I've been racking my brain about this, and Id love to get some opinions. Im taking this leadership class this semester and I really think I'm gonna love it! The teacher gave us a scenario this week to ponder on, and I wanted your opinion.
Say a family was going to take their 5 yr old son to the Congo, and he would have to stay there till he was 18. No civilization of any sort. They can only take 10 books with them. What 10 books would you send with him? Something that would prepare him for society and help him adjust and understand our lives.
What do you think?
Happy Friday ladies! Hope you have a safe and fun weekend!

Blogging Award!

Hello bloggers! Hope you ladies are having a great day! I woke up in a pretty good mood, but for some reason I've been in a funk ever since I got to work. Not really sure why...it happens though. Thankfully my wonderful friend/coworker Laura busted out a fellow coworker that we're not too fond of, and it jump started my mornin' a little bit!

Also I got this award, too! I wanna thank Kelly at Keeping up with Kelly and Co. for the Beautiful Blogger award! If you don't follow her blog, well then you should! Shes so super sweet and has the funniest posts...including todays!

Here are the rules:

Tell us 7 interesting things about yourself.

Nominate 7 bloggers.

Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.

Personally, I love Kellys version of this, so I'm going to follow her lead! She posted "7 semi-neurotic and yet {possibly?} slightly-normal things" about herself, and ironically we share a lot of the same ones. So, I'm not copying you Kelly...we just have a lot in common!!

1. The laundry. First of all, I have gotten a lot more laid back about this. Clinton has helped me to let go of a few of my unnecessary OCD moments, and this happens to be one of them: When I fold laundry, I have to fold the items in groups...pull out everything that needs to be hung first, then fold all the shirts, then the shorts, etc. When it comes to hanging clothes in the closet, they HAVE to be faced the same way, in order of season, and all matching hangers.

2. This should probably be my #1 because everyone knows this about me...especially my older friends. But I can NOT stand to be touched on one side and not the other. HUH??? Ok, if you come and pat me on my right shoulder, I have to touch my left one. If I scratch one arm, I have to scratch the other. If I rub one eye, I have to rub the other. At one time, this totally consumed my life...I'm not kidding. I use to actually switch up my feet while I was driving because it would bother me so much. I would reach across my body to change the station with my left hand bc I couldnt handle only using my right hand. It was awful! Luckily after much prayer and determination, I got rid of all the extreme stuff....now I'm only a little crazy :)

3. Everything has to have its place and be even (and not just when it comes to touching me). Everything in my house has been put there for a particular reason. I strive off things being perfectly symmetrical. And do not even think about coming into my house and moving something around. It could be a total mess, but I will notice that my picture frame has been moved 1/2 an inch....ask my mother. I use to beg her NOT to clean my room because I would have a mini breakdown when things were touched.

4. I can't stand when people can't spell correctly. Dont get me wrong, we all do it. Even the smartest people I know. It has been brought to my attention that I misuse the word "to/too" a lot on here. But rest assure...it is NOT because I don't know how to use it! But I type extremely fast and my thoughts are even faster, so it happens. BUT if you do not know how to spell a word, please take 30 seconds and google it before putting it on your facebook status. Kudos to yall for trying to spell out the word exactly how you say it, but I would like to think that a grown man would know that you dont spell "have" like "half"....I "half" to do this and that.... Good Lord! It just really "agervates" me...yes, someone had that on their status the other night.

5. Buffets. I refuse to eat at a buffet. I take this back...I ate at this really nice place here called Eat Well Sushi Grill and it was amazing...and CLEAN! But other than that, you can forget it. It makes me extremely uneasy to be picking off the same pile of food as the weirdo in front of me.

6. Ok...now I do not think this is weird at all, but Clinton literally makes fun of me for doing this every single time...and we've been married for almost 6 years. But every time I get out of the shower at night, I have to put on deodorant. I know Im just going to bed, but I feel really weird if I do not have on deo! I think I have a fear that I might forget it in the morning, but I just can't sleep without it. He also says that I "paint" it on because I use so much. I also can't go to sleep until I put lotion on my hands and feet. And if I wake up in the middle of the night, I have to put more on.

7. I dont wear socks unless I absolutely have to. It can be in the dead of winter, and I will not have socks on. Reason: it makes me feel claustrophobic.

OK...So now on to the 7 lucky ladies that get this award!!

My bbf Candice at Walking in Memphis

My bff LA at Go East Memphis Mama

My other favorite ladies.... Leigh at La Bella Vita and Laura at Southern Sweetness

My awesome SIL/friend who just got started in the blogging world...Maegan at The Pairs

Elizabeth at Musing Experiences

Caroline at Simply Smithwick

I hope you all have a great day today...one day closer to the weekend!!!

My crush and favorite lady!

Here they are! Aren't they beautiful?!

I only watched a little bit of the golden globes, but how beautiful of a couple do they make?? I screamed the second I saw them!!

I absolutely adore Jennifer Aniston! I think shes gorgeous and so down to earth! And Gerard Butler....oh Gerard Butler. I heart him to the fullest!! He has just recently moved his way into my top 5 and managed to creep to #2!
How freakin gorgeous does she look here?! Her smile is amazing!!!

So my thoughts are that they need to get married and start makin' some babies!
Happy Hump Day...no pun intended (wink).

Weigh-in Update...The Biggest Loser!

Well I am definitely not the biggest loser....not by any means. I've been on Weight Watchers for 11 weeks now. I've had my ups and my downs, but I've been determined to stick with it no matter what happens.

Last week I gained .6. I was convinced that the scale was off though...definitely not me. And although Aunt Flow was in town, I was really surprised that I had a gain. On the other hand, I just knew that I would gain this week. We ate out literally every meal this weekend. Thats one of the toughest things about going out of town...which I have to do for the next few weekends :(

So imagine my surprise when I stepped on the scale and had lost 2 lbs. The only thing I can figure is that it might be last weeks weight loss finally chiming in...there is just NO way I lost an ounce this week.

I am excited about my weight loss... don't get me wrong. It brings me to a total of 18 lbs which makes me very happy! But I have got to get with the program! It is only gonna get harder! I'm back in school, I'm traveling a lot over the next few weekends, and I am very much a stress eater! I need to really get with the program and stop getting lucky. I need to start working hard for my weight loss.

Now on to the Biggest Loser. How freakin funny was it when Bob and Jillian went OFF on the lady on the red team?! I would've been so embarrassed! I don't know what that chicks deal is, but it really pisses me off that she keeps throwing her weigh-in. I realize that this is a game, but she is very fortunate to be where she is and she needs to start appreciating it!

Also...I have been a fan of Michael since day one.

I just think he has the best personality and he just seems like an amazing guy!! But tonight, I was a little disappointed in him. He just seemed to not care about what he was doing. While everyone else was busting their butt, he was just goofin' off. It was really a total turn off. He's very lucky that his mother fault for him to stay, otherwise he'd be a goner.

Well I hope you ladies are having a wonderful week...tomorrow is Hump Day! CAN. NOT. WAIT!
I start class tomorrow though and I am dreading it. I think its just because I'm a little nervous. This is my first semester that involves field hours...yikes!

Well, have a good night y'all!

Decisions, Decisions

Happy Tuesday ladies! This morning has been absolutely crazy at work, but its been a great one!

First, I wanted to post a few pics from Lawsons birthday party! We had such a good time and Leigh Anne did an amazing job decorating!! She also hired this local balloon guy to come and entertain the kids...he was wonderful!
I made this birthday banner for LA so she wouldnt have to deal with it...she had enough to do! I have a cricut so it does all the hard work for me...except for tying the raffia on which was a total pain the ____!! But I'll do anything for little L's birthday! This one is by far my favorite one I've done so far!
His precious little cake!

The bffs!

The birthday boy!

Some of the cute animals the balloon guy made!

Presleys "neigh!"

Even her dad participated in the fun...he's thrilled, cant ya tell? Haha I love him!

The future Mr. & Mrs. playing with his new train set!

Ok....now on to the title of my blog...Decisions, Decisions. Lord knows I cant make one on my own. Just ask my friends. They are probably about to lose it with all my questions and opinions needed.

It is time to turn Presleys room into a big girl room. She is already in her twin bed and lovin' it! But I am having such a time decorating her room. I know its not the end of the world, but Ive just been trying really hard to find something cute and girly...that I wont get sick of after 6 months.
Who am I kidding? Ok, I know I'll get sick of it after 6 months because thats how I operate.
But still...Im having a hard time. There is just so much cute girl stuff out there!! And I have so many different ideas, but I'm having a hard time playing them out.
This was my first choice. I LOVE the Brooke bedding collection from Pottery Barn.
One of my friends told me that her concern was that I would get sick of the matchy matchy bedding. Shes probably right. But its soooo cute!!!
Anyways, it led me to this color for her room. I wanted to somewhat get away from pink and green and this blue color seems to do the trick for me.
Next, I moved on to looking for some cute fabrics to make her bedding. I came across these....

I love these. There are some others that I got in that are super cute too. But honestly, I dont feel like getting into the whole mess of having stuff made.
Last night I came across this and fell in love with it....

Its really hard to see on here, but its light yellow with white flowers. Its just so crisp and clean looking. I also got a robin egg blue quilt to put across the bottom. I would keep the walls the same light blue color, too. But Im struggling with the idea if this is too grown up for her. I want to bring in other colors...pinks, blues, greens, and some other fun fabrics. But I just dont know what to do.
Why do I make things so difficult for me?!?!
