Whats in a best friend??

Happy Hump Day!!!!!

I thought this day would never come. This week has been one big ball of stress for me. I'm loving my new position at work, but it keeps me stressed out. On top of that, school is killing me. I'm over it.

On top of all that, I never seem to have time to get on here and check on my favorite blogs, and thats just not gonna cut it ladies! So tonight as I was sitting in my chair, being all depressed because I have no life outside of work and school, I decided to get online and just catch up on a few blogs. Thats when I saw Jennifers blog about best friends and thought I'd take a little peak :)

I immediately cheered up after I read her blog because it really made me stop and think about how lucky I am to have soooo many wonderful girlfriends in my life. But more than that, I am so thankful for my BEST friends. I'm lucky enough to have THREE best friends (outside of Clinton and family, of course)...Candice, Leigh Anne, and Kelly. I know I've blogged about them a hundred times, but I feel like you can never say to much about your best friends!

So as I was rummaging through my pictures on my laptop, it occurred to me that I have NOOO pictures of me and Kelly!! Well, within the past year or so at least. The only one I have I look like complete C.R.A.P in it, so I'm not gonna display that to the world. But thats ok...Kelly is moving back to Memphrica in about a month and we are gonna make up for some lost time! This whole "only taking pics of the kids" thing is about to come to a screeching hault!

Anyway, Jennifer also had this definition of a best friend on her page, and I couldn't have said it better myself...especially when it comes to my ladies!

So whats a Best Friend?

The definition is when a friend knows all that you are, your faults, your failures, your accomplishments, your goals, your sins, your entire you, because you felt comfortable sharing it. Someone you share your inner thoughts, dreams, emotions, life, experiences, and soul with. Has been there for you when you were down and celebrated with you when you were happy, was still a friend even if distance came between you, and remains a friend when being your friend is the hardest thing to do, that is the definition of BEST friend.

With that being said, here are my other two besties.... Candice and Leigh Anne!

The thing I love the most about these two is how much we all love each other!
We always have a blast whenever we get together...no matter what it is.

And it doesn't matter how long we go without seeing each other, its like no time passes at all!

Are they not the most beautiful ladies you've ever seen?! I almost hate that y'all will never get to know them...they are truly the most amazing girls I've ever met.

I can honestly say that us three will be BFF's forever...and thats a fact!

So take a second or two to thank your BFFs for all that they do, and for all that they mean to you! I hope that mine never doubt how much I love them or that I think about them every. single. day. of my life, whether we get a chance to talk or not. I love you ladies!
P.S...Kelly...your blog is coming my lady! Maybe we should get Jason to do a photoshoot of just me and you hahaha!!
Ok, maybe not.
Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday tomorrow! We're one day closer!!!

Top Two Tuesday!

**
This weeks Top Two Tuesday topic is.....
Two random things about yourself!
***
Numero Uno....I'm obsessed with making lists!
***
Daily "To-Do" Lists, "Projects around the house" Invitation Lists, "Gift ideas," even "Whos gonna be lucky enough to make my Christmas card list" haha just kidding. Well, not really.
***
I'm sure there are a lot of y'all that probably think thats pretty normal, but I also keep a list in my purse at ALL times of ...
1) All the places I want to visit...in the US and outside the country
2) My top 10 favorite Movies
3) My top 10 favorite songs
4) All the songs I want to download to my Ipod...
***
And #2....This one I just recently talked about the other day, so sorry for all you that are reading this a second time....I have a song in my head 24 hours a day.
***
The ONLY time I dont, is if I'm already listening to one on the radio. I even wake up every morning with a song in my head. The scary part, more days than not its Beyonce's song "Irreplaceable" and I have NO idea why. Ever since it came out on the radio, thats just the way it is. For the longest time it was also Fergies song "Big Girls Dont Cry," but not much anymore. Dont ask me why...I couldnt tell ya!
***
On another note....I was walking down the hall last night and I saw this...
I asked Presley what it was about and she proceeded to inform me that "Daddy in time out!!" HAHAHA!!! I about DIED! When Clinton got home from working out, I told him to check out the Time Out chair...I think his feelings were hurt just a tad haha. The funniest part is how he's actually leaning on the stool with his nose in the corner!
***
Well, I hope all you ladies have a wonderful Tuesday! After 3.5 years I finally get my OWN office tomorrow!!!! WOOHOO!!! I'm so excited! Now I need to get some decorations!

Yawwwn....

Hey Peeps!

Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was pretty good. I don't know if I've mentioned it on here or not, but my sister came in town Tuesday night and heads back to Phoenix tomorrow. We've had a really great time hanging out, shopping, celebrating my daddy's birthday...the whole 9 :)

Friday night I had to meet up with a girl in my class to work on a school project. We have to design a school exactly how we would want it if we had a choice. Now, some people use a shoe box and decorate it, then draw a floor plan to go along with it. There have been others that made a 6ft long display of a school, depicting every hallway and room that could be found. We kinda decided to find some middle ground, and I'm really excited about it.

We're both Idealist so we paired together for the project...that way we would tend to want the same things. We decided on an all girls "Ivy league" style private school. I'm decorating the building to look like its covered in stone and ivy, etc. We are only offering the most "elite" extracurricular activities haha. Basically the kind of school I could only dream to go to...or send Presley to.

So I got home Friday night and still had the whole "private school" thing on my mind. I started researching all the local private schools in our area and priced them per school year. Some are totally out of the question...others could actually be possible if we really tried. However, the problem comes when we have more kids...I know we can't afford to send ALL of them to private school.

But, I just dont know what to do. I have never really cared for private school. I don't disagree with the whole fact that you might receive a better education from private school....but, I do NOT think that it necessarily means you'll have a better future. I know way too many private school kids that never did a dang thing with their life after high school. But my deal with public school is "what" they are being taught. After this semester with one of my teachers, it really scared me to think about the kinds of things that Presley will be hearing about when she gets to school. I just really want her to go to a Christian private school. There is one in our area that she can start attending when she's 3, then move into another campus once she starts kindergarten, but I'm just not really impressed just yet. Its the only one thats in our price range already...hence the reason we can afford it I'm sure haha.... but we'll just have to see. So for all you Memphis gals...all suggestions are welcomed.

Well, as for the rest of the weekend goes, me and my mom and sister pretty much shopped all day long. Crystal brought Presley a sweet little Easter dress and I can't wait to see her in it! We celebrated my daddy's birthday last night at J. Alexander's...YUMMY! Today I cleaned, studied, then studied some more with some girls from class. Super exciting day, let me tell ya.

Anyways, enough of that. On to more important news....

I've converted another Non-Twilight believer and I am THRILLED! Ashley is a friend from work and she has had no interest WHAT-SO-EVER in Twilight! But she went to see Remember Me the other night and fell in love with Rob...I mean, how could you not?!! So she finally agreed to let me bring her Twilight! I brought it on Wednesday (I think), and she finished it Friday night! I got a text from her today asking me to bring New Moon tomorrow!!! WOOOHOOO!

Well hope you ladies have a wonderful Monday. This should be pretty quick week for me! I have work, tons of school crap, then a half day on Friday so I can get my hair did! I'm still debating on my dang haircut...UGH!!!!

Oh well, have a good week!

Thankful Thursday....My Sweet Lil' P!

Happy Thankful Thursday...a few hours early!

I thought I'd go ahead and do my post tonight since my blogging time has been very limited lately. Plus as I sit here next to my sweet lil' Presley....yes its almost 10 and shes still up....I started thinking about how thankful I am for this little lady. So I thought I'd share with y'all her latest obsession.

Her badabug. Aka...her ladybug.

Yep, we are the new, proud owners of a ladybug. The other morning we were all in the bathroom getting ready and Presley spotted a ladybug crawling on the cabinets. Normally, she is totally freaked out by bugs...the slightest move, and she's a goner.

But for some reason, she was totally interested in the ladybug. So I went into her play room and got the bug catcher I bought her over a year ago...you know, for all the sweet little bugs...and we put her ladybug inside.

The child is now OB-Sessed! Everything is about her "badabug." About every 30 seconds we hear "Momma, Daddy...badabug!!" Or "Momma, Daddy, where it go?!"

The thing even had to sit at the table with her this morning while she ate breakfast. I was waiting for the moment she would ask to take it with her to the babysitter, but I got lucky on this one. Today at least.

But I got home tonight from school and Clinton informed me that she took the ladybug to bed with her. He was getting her ready and she said "Daddy, badabug go nite-nite Peslee's bed." How stinkin sweet is that?! But he told her the badabug would have to stay on her dresser.

Luckily she agreed.

So today...and every day of my life...I am thankful for that sweet little girl. I love watching her learn new things....

Even if she does ask me "was sat" 500 times a day.

Hope y'all have a wonderful and very thankful Thursday!

Wishful Wednesday..Handbag!

'I wish' I could afford a Balenciaga Bag without putting a dent in my pocketbook!
I'm not really that picky...I love all of them! BUT if I had to choose, I would probably go with this Navy one because I've been searching high and low for a new navy purse!
My BBF Candice turned me on to Balenciaga's YEARS ago! I've bought a total 3 knock offs in China Town while visiting NYC, and they are actually pretty good replicas! I have a black and red one already, and I bought Candice an emerald green (I think) one other time just because I know how much she loves them! But my all time favorite thing about them are all the bright colors!

And...you can always find Lauren Conrad carrying one....so they must be pretty cool :)

Top Two Tuesday...thinks I can NOT live without!

The topic for Top Two Tuesday is....
***
Things I can NOT live without!
***
Of course we have Clinton, Presley, family, friends...the obvious things. But putting all those things aside, there are two things that I can't live without....or at least I choose not too.
***
First and foremost...
***
The CHI!

I don't know what on earth I did before the CHI! Actually I do know...EVERYTHING! And not a bit of it worked! Now if I had only had it through those horrific middle school years....
***
My #2 would have to be Splenda!

I've given up sweet tea which is near impossible to do here in the South...especially with yummy places like Chick-fil-A, Sonic, and McAlisters around every corner! But it was one of those changes that I knew I had to take on, so Splenda has become my new best friend.

Head over to The Undomestic Mommas blog if you'd like to join in on the fun!

Awards....yada yada yada...I need your help!

Hello ladies! Happy Hump Day!

I had to train a lady all. day. long today....kinda crampin' my style a little bit. I had to rush through my WW this morning and never had a chance to sign back on and check out all the others. AND I didn't get to mingle with my work-bestie at all today. Whats that about?!

I hope everyone is having a great week so far. Mine has been good, but good Lord I feel like its pokin' along.

Anyway, I was checking out one of my newest favorite blogs tonight, and what did I see???

I have been given the Beautiful Blog Award!

So here are the rules:

1. Thank the person who nominated you for this award and insert a link to their blog...Thanks Jennifer! Hop on over to her blog, Keeping up with Kaegan (she has the cutest little girl!!) and become a follower!

2. Pass on the award to 7 other bloggers who you think have a Beautiful Blog!

Ok....so I suck at this. I never know who to choose because if I follow your blog, then I pretty much like it. End of story. So I'm just gonna nominate all my real life friends so that you can see all the lovely ladies in my life...so check out their blogs, too!

My BFF Candice @ Walking in Memphis

My BFF Leigh Anne @ Go East Memphis Mama

My BFF Kelly @ The Stockdale Family

My S-I-L Maegan @ The Pairs

The lovely Leigh @ La Bella Vita

My work-bestie Laura @ Southern Sweetness

My sweet, sweet Ashley @ Our Life According to Ashley

3. Contact the other bloggers and let them know they have been chosen for this award....they all read it, so they'll know. At least they better (wink, wink).

4. Say 7 things about yourself:

1. Ive recently been told I'm crazy and should see a specialist because I have a song playing in my head 24 hours a day. This was of course after I informed this person that I wake up singing "Irreplaceable" by Beyonce at least 5 mornings out of the week. I wish I had an explanation, but I don't. So maybe I should go so this specialist.

2. I talk way too much, way too loud, and repeat myself...repeatedly. People always have to tell me to "shhh" or as Clinton says "quiet down." And apparently everyone I talk to has to turn the volume down on their phone when I call them. Gosh, talking about being paranoid now!

3. I had a pet cow when I was little and I named him Buddy. I sold him when I was in 8th grade so I could use the money to have plastic surgery and remove a huge scar/dent in the middle of my forehead.

4. I keep multiple lists in my purse/planner at all times including the following topics:

1. Places I want to visit in the US and worldwide.

2. Songs I want for my IPOD...and no, I don't have one.

3. My top 10 favorite movies...yes, this is important.

4. My top 10 favorite songs...same reason as above.

5. My favorite baby names.

5. I'm 27...married....a mother...and I'm totally obsessed with Twilight, and especially ROB PATTINSON. And I'm not ashamed to admit it.

6. My favorite T.V. shows ever are Sex and The City and Seinfeld. I could watch their episodes over and over and OVER again! Oh and King of Queens, too.

7. Clinton and I have finally decided when to start trying for baby #2, and I'm so excited. But don't ask, because I'm not telling you when. I don't want everyone in my family buggin' the mess out of me between now and then.

NOW....on to the "need your help" part of this post.

I'm desperately wanting a new haircut. I need something different. NOW!!!! I've been growing my hair out for quite some time. Well, to be perfectly honest, its just me being lazy and not really bothering to have anything done other than color. My hair is probably the longest its ever been ...I guess about midway down my back. But its sooo thick and heavy. There is absolutely no style at all. Just plain and boring. Here is a recent pic....you can't really tell much about it, but you get the drift....

But unfortunately, that is not where to problem is. My hair is naturally curly, but not the pretty kind. It curls...SPIRALS...in some places, waves in others, but frizzes ALL OVER! It looks absolutely horrible down so usually just pull it back, or put it in this disgraceful 'do on the top of my head....

Ok, maybe it doesn't look that bad on a daily basis...this was taken after a day of Christmas decorating...but its pretty dang close. I can't believe I'm showing y'all how awful it looks. Don't judge me!

So I just don't know what to do. It has to work well with thick, naturally curly/funky hair.

This is what I'm lovin.....

And I LOOOOOVE this too!

But of course my hair won't look like that and I definitely won't look like that. Dang it!! And lets not even get into the "how fat is this going to make me look when I cut all my hair off" topic. So what do you think I should do??!! Keep it long, or chop it off??

Wishful Wednesday- Lottery

'I wish' I could win the lottery and I would become a stay at home momma!
***
I think its funny that this is the topic for this week because I just did a post on Monday about this!
***
However, Kelsey's topic this week included one specific question...would you work or quit your job if you won the lottery?
***
Honestly, if I was not a momma, I would totally continue working! I love my job and I do NOT like sitting around the house doing nothing. Even if Clinton made more than enough money to support us both right now, I would still continue to work.... at least part time. I just have to have something to do and places to go. BUT if we won the lottery and I knew we would be able to live comfortably without any problems, AND I could be home with my sweet little Presley, I would totally do it!

Top Two Tuesday: Celebrity Style

I love the topic for Top Two Tuesday this week! Here are my 2 favorite gals:

1. Jennifer Aniston!!
I LOOOOVE her style so much! I'm a jeans and tshirt kind of gal! Throw in a big pair of sunglasses, some cute flats, and big purse, and I'm good to go!

She looks amazing in shorts, too! Dang her!

2. Lauren Conrad!!
I love how cute Lauren looks when shes dressing casual....

....but my favorite is her cute, flirty look she always has going on!

And I wouldn't mind having her hair, too!

Hop over to the Undomestic Momma if you wanna play along!

Monday, March 15, 2010

I stumbled across this really cute blog today and thought I'd play along!

I am.... watching two of my favorite t.v. men...Sheldon and Leonard (Big Bang Theory)
I think.... everyone should switch to 4 day work weeks.
I should... be cleaning. nah.
I dream.... about winning the lottery, hence the reason for my morning post.
I want.... to go to bed early.
I know... it'll never happen.
I don't like.... this rainy weather. I'm over it.
I smell... my stinky dogs.
I hear.... the dishwasher running.
I fear.... I'll be in school for eternity.
I usually... procrastinate.
I search... for Presley's shoes every morning.
I miss.... my sister. She'll be home in a week!
I always... repeat myself over and over ....and over again.
I regret.... not staying in college the first time around.
I wonder....why people are so annoying.
I crave.... the day I can work and come home. No school.
I remember... what is was like to have no worries.
I need.... to get over some things.
I forget.... everything. Worst. Memory. EVER!
I feel.... moody.
I can.... shop non stop.
I can't.... save money. How ironic.
I am happy.... when I'm with Clinton and Presley.
I lose..... nothing. Misplace everything.
I sing.... non-stop. I have a song in my head 24 hours a day.
I listen... to "grungy" music, as Clinton calls it.
I shop..... every Saturday without fail.
I eat.... too much.
I love..... my life.
Hope on over to her blog if you'd like to play along!

I also wanna take a second to thank Krystal for my blog award!

I'm passing this one on to all of y'all!
Good Night!

When I make my first million....

So this morning I was checking out one my favorite blogs, Brunch at Saks, and she had posted some pics of Gwyneth Paltrow's house in the Hamptons. As I was looking through the pictures and drooling all over my keyboard, I started day dreaming about how I would LOVE to have a home in the Hamptons one day. THEN I got to thinking about all the things that I wanna do when I make my first million.

Well, it didn't take long for me to realize I'm gonna need about 10 million to make all this happen, but a girl can dream right hah?!

Of course the first things to pop to mind are your typical things... a new house decorated exactly the way I want it, a new big...HUGE...SUV that will carry everything in the world I need it to, quit my job and be a stay at home mommy so I can take Presley all kinds of cools places, maybe buy a few toys like a boat, 4wheeler, you know..the necessities ;)

But after that, the fun really begins! My first major purchase outside of Tennessee...

A brownstone in NYC...in the Village to be exact!
Absolutely, hands-down, one of my favorite places on earth! Plus, I'll need somewhere to stay when I go shopping there once a month. Then of course when Candice calls me up and says "hey, I'm thinking about hittin' up NYC this weekend"...I can go.... "Girl, take the keys to my place and have fun!"
****
Ok, who am I kidding. I'm sure I'll go with her, but still.
****
Then of course you can't live in NYC and not have a house in the Hamptons. I'll take something similar to the house on "Somethings Gotta Give" with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson.

And of course we'll have to buy Clinton his thousand acres in the middle of Montana so he can do a little of this....

After that is all said and done, I'm gonna need a little vacation to relax. I'm thinking I'll head overseas with the mister and sweet little P for about a month.

So what would you do??
***
Well I hope y'all had a wonderful weekend. Me and the ladies went to see Remember Me which was A-Mazing! Clinton started building our deck on Saturday and I'm sooo excited for it to be done! Sunday we went to Home Depot to get more supplies, then to Pet Smart to buy some shavers for the dogs. Presley was in awe at the pet store....cats, dogs, birds, fish....she was ecstatic. She has officially entered the "Whats that?" stage...aka "whas sat?" It really is so precious, but can be a little much at times!
***
I hope yall have a fabulous Monday today!!

Saturday, March 13, 2010

I have two words for you...

Remember. Me.
Yes, it was THAT good!
Better than I expected...honestly.
So, lets talk Rob.

I loved me some Rob before, but it has doubled now...umm, more like tripled!
I always wondered if it was really "him" or because of "Edward." Well, no more wondering about that. Rob Pattinson was A-Mazing in this movie! He really is such a wonderful actor. And hot. So hot.
***
Me and the ladies had about a 20 minute conversation after the movie about how much more we love him now than we did before...and I honestly didn't think that was possible.

In fact, I was kinda worried I wouldn't like him as much outside of "Edwards" role.
WRONG!!!

One of my girlfriends made the comment that they think he's gonna be the new Leonardo DiCaprio...the heartthrob of our earlier years.

I agree...but better. A lot better!

But not just that...the movie itself was wonderful. I loved everyone in it. The story line is fantastic. And the ending....well, I can't tell. But lets just say every person in the theater gasped in awe. Totally unexpected, heart breaking, but so eye opening, too. You'll see why... I promise.
So, take your Saturday afternoon/evening plans and cancel them. You won't regret it!

Friday, March 12, 2010

I need the weekend to be here...like NOW!

I'm so over this week! Honestly, its gone by pretty fast, but has been draggin' along at the same time!

Tonight Im going to pay a little visit to my boyfriend, aka Rob Pattinson.

Speaking of Rob....Clinton comes home last night and tells me he has a goody for me. It was a box of "Ice" sweet tarts with a pic of Edward Cullen on the front hahah! I didn't even open it bc it was so pretty :)

I am supa excited about tomorrow! Me and the SIL will be getting a mani and a pedi in the mornin'. Clinton is also going to start building our deck! WOOHOO! I am so stinkin' excited!! Its going to be about 16 feet wide with a built in bench all the way around....tons of seating! BUT the most exciting part is that a pergola will be covering the whole thing. It'll be oh-so pretty!

Other than that, not much going on. A little homework, a little cleaning...Boooo.

I hope y'all have a wonderful and safe weekend!! Talk to you ladies on Monday!
