2009 Review by pictures

I had a lot of friends that did a decade review which I LOVED! But lets face, my memory is not so hot. If it wasnt for Candice reminding me of the things we use to do 10 years ago, I'd never remember haha! She has the memory of a champ! Our friend Ashley always says its because she was in the womb for a month longer than the rest of us hahah! I love those ladies!!

So instead I thought I would do a review for 2009. I thought I'd go through it by pictures so I can do a little reminiscing on how much Presley has grown, too. I tried to pick just one for each month, but lets face it...it didn't happen. What can I say, I love pictures!!

January:
Lawson (LA's son) turned one! This is Presleys best "boy" friend and future husband, so he made the list for sure!

Down on one knee already!

February:
My sweet Presley Faith turns One!

Pres also had a few first experiences in February....
Her first Memphis basketball game!!

And her first snow!

March/ April:
Some Easter pictures!

Her first Easter egg hunt!

And when her love began for "neighs!"

May:
Mothers Day (this is my MIL, too)

My nephew graduates Kindergarten...TEAR!

June:
Candice and I take Presley swimming...her first time outside of a kiddy pool!

Went to Cancun on business...got to see the Chichen Itza Ruins

July:
Presleys first haircut!!!

Ms. Margaret is Leigh's mom...La Bella Vita... She does all of our hair and we love her so!!!

Her first time at the Sprinkler park...she was a fan from the get go!

August:
Apparently my camera was broken because there were no pics this month! But I did start my second year back in college this month, so that might be why there are no pics!
September:
Loved this picture of her playing with the sidewalk chalk...Labor Day weekend in MS.

October:
Halloween at Zoo Boo! Presley was a pig and Lawson was Elmo!

Two of my best friends....Candice and Leigh Anne!

All of us at Zoo Boo!

November:
Jason, the husband of my best friend Kelly, came in town and took some family pics of us for our Christmas card!

December:
Get to see my sister and her fiance during the holidays!

At the Christmas parade!

Opening presents Christmas morning!

Its great looking back over the course of another wonderful year! If 2010 is half as good, I'll be doing just fine!

There we were 10 years ago during our Senior year. You probably think that we were dating at this time due to all the lovey dovey pictures, but we were actually just best friends. Dont get me wrong, I surely wanted to! I had a thing for him the moment I saw his freshmen yearbook picture in one of my friends wallets. The first couple years of high school we were just your typical friends, nothing special. Junior year we became a little bit closer. Next thing I knew we were best friends...and I was head over hills for him. However, we were always dating other people...blah blah blah....and of course there was that fear of "ruining our friendship" blah blah blah.
So had you told me then that year that 4 years later we wouldve been doing this....

Or that another 4 years later we would be doing this....

I would have NEVER believed you!

I wouldve probably done cartwheels up and down the halls full of excitement hoping you were telling the truth, but I wouldve never believed it! I never doubted I would marry someone just like Clinton. In fact, I told one of my friends our Junior year that I wanted to marry someone "just like Clinton Pair!" So to get the real deal has been nothing short of amazing for me.
But this really isn't why I started this post in the first place. The other night when I was completing "Task #1" and cleaning out my armoire, I started looking through old pics. At first I was thinking about how 10 years ago I would've never imagined being where I am today, with Clinton as my husband...with a daughter who is the perfect combination of the both of us.
But most importantly, I would've never believed that I would've allowed myself to let my health slip away and spiral out of control.
Take another look at those pictures from our senior year. I was about 100 pounds less than I am right now.
100 POUNDS!
Seriously???!!! Did I really allow myself to get that far gone?!
Yep I did. It's sickening to think about it.
But as most of you know, I started Weight Watchers about 8 weeks ago. I lost 16.8 lbs until this 2.4 lb gain over the last two weeks. But now the holidays are over and there are no more excuses.
My goal for 2010 is to get rid of the 100 lbs I put on over the past 10 years.
To be in the best shape that I can possibly be...To be able to go for a run when I want to, and possibly complete a few 5k's...heck, even a 1/2 marathon if I'm lucky! To be able to get to a healthy size so we can start workin' on making Presley a big sister... To wear cute clothes, or heaven forbid a freakin swimsuit! To be beautiful for Clinton...to be able to be in as good of shape as he is. To be a healthy mother for Presley, and a positive role model for her, too.
I've accomplished so much this year. I've managed to work a full time job, go back to school, take care of my family, and even enjoy some new hobbies. But I have continued to put my health on the back burner. I just can't do it anymore. Its time to take responsibility for my previous actions. And its time to start breaking the bad habits, and forming some good ones.
I hope that y'all can continue to encourage me along the way. So many of you have been an amazing inspiration and I'm very thankful for that. I look forward to this journey, and hope that y'all will join me along the way!
Happy New Year!
'I wish' .... Santa would have remembered
my ______ was on my list!
Ok, I dont really have one for this. I pretty much got everything I asked for this year besides a few small things. The only thing that really came to mind was a new navy blue Coach purse that I've been eyeing for a while. But my sister got me a wristlet that matches it, so thats kinda holding me over for the time being! I might just have to pick one up when we go to Vegas in a few weeks ;)
**********************
BUT I'm gonna go ahead and say that I wish Santa would have remembered a new KING BED! Im so over the queen...I just don't know how much more I can handle it! Clinton refuses to get one because he says I already sleep too far away from him....which I might add is all of 3 inches. If he had it his way, he'd sleep right on top of me all night long.
**********************
If you'd like to play along, head over to Kelseys blog at The Seattle Smiths!
SIDE NOTE: Im doing the asterisks because it will not let me put a freakin space in between paragraphs!
**********************
Now on to a few other things. Presley didn't sleep well last night and Im running on about 3 hours of sleep....not even consecutive hours. Its gonna be one of those days where I'll have to type with my eyes closed just to make it through the day!
**********************
On the other hand, I'm so excited about tonight! Candice and Leigh are coming over to check out some fabrics I've ordered for Presleys "big girl" room! They are also gonna help me with some paint colors for her room and her playroom...they just dont know it yet hah!
**********************
Here are the fabrics that I'm thinking about doing. I really wanted to get away from pink and green...and really pastels in general. I kinda got on a kick of red and turquoise but chickened out. I want something bold and fun, but still girly. Then I came across these two....
I'm thinking about this for the duvet.....

And this one for a pillow sham and maybe a blanket or something....

I kinda liked how they were still really girly, NOT pink and green, kinda vintage/shabby chic, and still some bold aspects too. I've also ordered this stripe for a bed skirt....

This pink one for an accent pillow or lamp shade...something...maybe....can't decide.

I also ordered this pink damask. Its so pretty, but I kinda felt like I'm getting back to the pastels again.

So I'm thinking about the red. What do you think??

At first I was kinda scared it might be too much red. But when the first one came in, I really fell in love with the color...its more of a reddish pink.
Ive also completed task one of the play room!! I moved the computer into the armoire in our living room. You have no idea what an accomplishment this was. I wish I wouldve taken a before picture so you could've seen how awful the armoire was! But now its my new computer desk and I love it! Plus its my favorite piece and I hated that I haven't utilized it for the past 3 1/2 years.

Well, thats all I have today! Hope you ladies are having a wonderful day so far. This is my last work day for the year! I hope everyone has a safe and Happy NEW YEAR!!! Can't believe its already 2010....the year of my TEN year reunion! Thats ok...this is gonna be my year! The year of Candice hahah....by the way, I say that every year.
