Walking in a winter wonderland!

Thats what we're doing here in Memphis today! I know you ladies up north probably think we're silly for getting so excited about snow, but the fact that we've seen it twice this year is amazing! We. never. have. snow!

Now only if it could look like this on Christmas morning...then we'd be set!

We got about 4 inches so far and its still snowing! Of course the city has closed down again...literally. They've even shut down some of our interstate haha! We southerners just don't know how to deal with such chaos on the roads!

Now on to a few other things....

I was sooooo stinkin' excited! Our house was divided between the Colts and Saints, but I had some very valid reasons for pulling for the saints:

1. I cant stand Peyton Manning

2. I always tend to pull for the under dogs

3. They're fellow southerners

4. Ive always wanted to go to 'Nawlins'

and last but not least...

5. They are Brett Favre's favorite team, too!

So I figure if I can't cheer him on, I might as well cheer for his favorite team!

Well this weekend was a good one. At the moment I dont even remember what we did Friday night. Saturday I just did a little shopping with my mother-in-law. She wanted to go to Vera Bradley to get Presley her first little purse for her birthday! Its sooo cute! I was suppose to go to see Dear John with Candice but I was just not up to it. I was so exhausted and I had a headache. Around 6:30 or so I was feeling a little better, so Clinton and I took Presley to one of our favorite restaurants...Hueys! It was delicious as usual! Then we came home and got to bed at a decent hour.

Yesterday was my father-in-laws birthday so we went over there for dinner and the super bowl. It seems like its been a while since we all got together and it was so much fun! I love Clintons family as much as my own so I was really glad to see everyone.

Last night we had another milestone...

Presley slept without her paci!!!!!!!!!!!

I. AM. THRILLED!

She hasnt had her paci other than bedtime for a really long time. But every time I've tried taking it away, its been a hellacious event. So I finally decided to cut the tip of it off and tell her that it was broken.

She didnt care.

So I cut a little more....and a little more. Finally last night you could tell she was really confused. So I told her that I thought her paci was broken and that she should throw it away.

She did.

Then she got it out and brought it back to me haha!

I finally convinced her again that she needed to throw it away. I think she was regretting it by the time she crawled into bed. But she only cried for about 5 minutes and never woke up one time for it! Shes such a big girl...growing up too fast for mama!
