Goodies!

Mornin', Mornin'!

Its Thursday...Hallelujah!!

So I thought I would share a few of the goodies that I got for Presley yesterday! Laura, @ Southern Sweetness, and I went to Macys so I could get a sleeper for baby Lila. Well $70 later I got the sleeper, along with a few other things. Then of course I had to go to Baby Gap...its my weakness. And I got this precious little swimsuit!!

I was so excited! Clinton has issues with me putting Presley in bikini's so I thought this was the perfect compromise. AND it matches the cute little beach towel I ordered her from Pottery Barn! Both of those will be her birthday gift from her brothers Jake and Sam (our labs hah)!

Also, I've been eyeing this raincoat and rainboots for a few weeks now! But I didn't want to pay $26 for boots and $40 for the jacket. I knew that in a month they would be on sale and surely there were! I got the boots for $12.99...

They didnt have the jacket in her size, so I'm gonna order it online today since it has been marked down to $29.99...

I know some people think its pointless to buy a raincoat for a 2 year old, but she wore the heck out of hers last year. Especially when we jump into Spring and its still really chilly in the morning, but warm in the afternoons.

On another note, I cant wait to see my bf Kelly and baby Lila tonight! I'm just ready to have a little "me" time. Ive been kinda overwhelmed this week with my new position at work. Don't get me wrong, I really think I'm going to like it. I just have a lot to catch up on and that drives me crazy!

I also want to take a moment to vent...and maybe get a few opinions, too.

I am a Christian. I believe in Creation, not evolution. End of story. My teacher on the other hand, believes in Evolution. That is fine...to each his own. I don't have any disrespect or dislike for him because of this...he is probably one of the best teachers I've had. But here's where I have a problem:

People always say that Christians should be "open minded." That everyone should be "open minded." But ask a non-believer what they believe in, and its never "open minded." They are just as firm in their beliefs as Christians are! At the end of the day, basically they mean that everyone should be open to all religions and beliefs except for Christianity. We're the exceptions. And frankly, that just pisses me off.

I will watch a movie in class about "Ape Genius" and I will listen to you tell me that static on the radio is remnants from the Big Bang Theory.

Yes friends...that is what he told us.

But I am NOT going to believe it. And if that makes me close minded, then I'm sorry. It is what it is.

I also love how people will tell you that they are open to all opinions and beliefs, but then preach for 3 hours about one side of the story...their side.

I just don't know what to do. How do you handle a situation like that? I feel guilty not standing up for what I think and what I believe in. At the same time, I've learned that you can't convince someone that is that strong minded to think any differently.

I seriously leave that class every week mentally and emotionally drained. I just don't know what to do about it. Suggestions are welcomed!

Well have a good Thursday ladies! Time to get busy busy!

My sissy once told me this and I loved it and use it often, maybe it will help you as you go through the class. She always says
"I hope that I am not open minded! If you are open minded then all kinds of junk will come in. If you are open minded then you do not have your own beliefs you just believe everything!"
I will be praying for you as you go through the class. Sometimes we just have to grind our teeth keep our head up and bare it.

Side note: I didnt have to "convince" you too much to get those things for Pres! haha!

First off, love the swim suit. I am with Clint on the babies in bikinis thing.

Secondly, I think that being open minded just means be willing to see why someone might believe differently than you do. It does not mean that you have to try and accept what they are saying, just be "open" to the fact that not everyone believes and thinks like you. Just take what the man says at face value and go on. Use this class as a way to learn about another set of beliefs. There may come a point in your life where you will be able to use that knowledge as a way to lead someone to Christ. You never know what God has in store. I will be praying for you!

I love that rain coat and boots! As far as your class...you know I've just come to realize some people are just idiots and standing up and saying something to them isn't going to make them any LESS of an idiot you know? So I'm not going out of my way haha!
