I'm not ready....

....for Monday.

With the good Lord willing, this week will be the first time I've worked a 5 day week since Christmas! Believe me, it wasn't intentional. There were holidays, snow days, sick days, vacation days...its ridiculous! I told Clinton that in the 3.5 years I've worked at my job, I've never had to use a "sick" day because I'm actually sick...and I've used 3 since January!

This weekend has been a good one. I went into it having nothing planned at all, and ended up going non-stop. Story of my life!

Friday night we went to eat with Clintons fam. Its been a long time since we've all gotten together and gone out to eat. Three restaurants later, we finally found somewhere to eat...and it was awful. Afterwards we went to Target with Matt (Clintons little bro), our SIL Maegan, and their son Ben. Talkin' about getting crazy on a Friday night! But we had so much fun! Presley LOOOOOVES her cousin Ben!! Here's the little cutie....


Well while we were at Target, these girls stopped Clinton and Matt and asked if Ben and Presley were twins...Clinton said "yep, they just turned two last Sunday." Hahaha! Ben's actually 4.5 months older than Pres, but they both have blonde hair, blue eyes, and are the exact same size! But I couldn't believe he just straight up lied to them! He eventually fessed up when we ran into them later on. What a nerd!

Well Saturday morning, Presley told me she needed to "poo poo in the potty." She always says that now, but never actually does. But this week Ben is actually being potty trained and she knew that he was using the potty. So when I told her that she had already pooped, she said "Ben poo poo's in the potty." So I was like "yes ma'am he does." Then... in Presley language... she started going on and on and on about Ben...for at least 5 minutes! Finally I said...

"Presley, do you love Ben?"


P: "Uh huh"

"Is Ben your best friend?"

P: "Uh huh"

Melt. my. heart! I was never close to my cousins growing up, so I'm tickled pink that they love each other so much.

Yesterday and today were absolutely GORGEOUS in here Memphis! After P and I had done a little shopping on Saturday, we met up with Maegan and Ben again for some lunch. Then I took Presley to my mom's house so she could play. My parents live on 5 acres and have all kinds of goodies for Presley...her play house, swing set...and most of all...horses. She was a happy little lady! Last night Clinton headed to the neighbors to play some cards, and I took advantage of my girl time and popped in "Pretty in Pink!"

Today I've been absolutely exhausted. I woke up with P around 7, and started doing my homework at 9. I finished at 2:30. UGH!

So I've decided to stick out "The Shack." After much feedback, it seems like my feelings are pretty common among everyone. I really hoped to get it done this weekend, but as you can tell from the above post, that didn't happen.

Also...I'm sure some of you that have been following me for a while have noticed that I haven't been doing my weekly weigh-ins. Well, there's a good reason for that.

Haha ok not really. Well, maybe a little bit. How do I manage to get through the holidays and lose 16 lbs, but nothing since??

Because frankly I just stopped caring about it. I got so busy with life and starting back to school, that once again it went on the back burner. I got up to 18 lbs but I think Im around 16 again :(

So....no more slacking. Its time to get back in the saddle and get this thing under control. I have some very important goals that I need to focus on again. So, as bad as I hate to step on that scale on Tuesday night, I will be letting you ladies now the verdict. I hope y'all can continue to give me much needed advice and encouragement!
