TWO MORE DAYS!

Well the stress and chaos of going out of town has begun.

I decided to not be the procrastinator that I can sometimes be, and started packing last night. I got all my clothes together, the bridesmaid dress, Clintons suit, then went to get his shirt and tie.

Wait. Let me jump back a few weeks. Heck, even months.

Clinton never wears a suit. Ever. So needless to say, the one that he owns was totally not happening. It was hunter green...yes, you heard me correctly, and had pleated pants. Enough said.

So I informed him 6 months ago that he was going to buy a new suit. Well, Clinton being the penny pincher that he is, decided that one from Target would suffice since he only needs one about once a year.

I did not argue with him.

However, he had "plenty of time" and felt no need to get the suit till last weekend. When we got there, they didn't have his size. So of course the one he had to go with is about 2 sizes too big. Whatever. We don't have time to get it tailored so its just going to have to work.

When I asked him about a shirt and tie, he informed me that he had "plenty." I shouldve known then that those were not reassuring words, but I trusted him.

Fast forward to last night:

I go into the closet to get Clinton a shirt and tie. He does have plenty of shirts...that is true. But how many shirts does he have that will look good with a suit?

One.

And its blue. He's suppose to wear white.

And how many ties does he have?

Two.

One is lime green. One is burgundy.

So, naturally I go into panic mode and make him stop watching his stupid hunting show for 5 minutes so he can come in there and try on his clothes. 30 minutes later, nothing was accomplished.

Then he looked at me and said "Candice, what are you worrying about? I dont understand why you always feel the need to worry. See, look at me. I'm calm, taking it easy...no worries here. I never have to worry."

And I said (well, maybe yelled).

"THATS BECAUSE YOU DONT HAVE TO!!!!! AT THE END OF THE DAY, YOU KNOW THAT I AM GOING TO TAKE CARE OF IT!!!!

Anyways, I had to call my sister this morning and ask her to bring some of Geoffs ties. My sweet mom also went and bought him a few today, and is letting him borrow one of my dads white shirts.

So now fiasco # 1 is out of the way...but I am sure that another one is bound to appear between now and Thursday morning.

Until then, I'm going to focus on the exciting things to come!


Thursday we will be landing about noon. We arent meeting anyone till dinner, so we're going to do a few things before checking into the hotel. We are going to the Red Rock Canyon and Hoover Dam!

Then Thursday night we'll be working our way up the strip!

Friday we are just going to do some shopping, and maybe a little more shopping. I'm super excited about the rehearsal dinner! We're eating at Canaletto in the Venetian hotel!!

Then Saturday we will be getting ready for the big event....the wedding of my beautiful sister and her finance!!

They are getting married at the Mandalay Bay Hotel...its gorgeous! The ceremony will be outside...

Isn't it beautiful?!

I can not wait! Its going to be so much fun...and worth all the little mishaps we experience until we get there!

On a completely opposite note, Presley and I are still sick :( She woke up around 4 or so this morning coughing her little head off. It was so pitiful. So we popped in the Blues Clues dvd and went about our business. I'm gonna miss my little love bug while I'm gone!
