So our 2-4 inch snow "storm" turned out to be about 1/2 an inch here in Memphis. But of course half the city has closed down. Thats how we Southerners roll!
I was pretty disappointed when I looked out the window this morning. I had kinda been looking forward to not going to work and just "working" from home.
About the first two miles I drove were completely clear, then....ICE.
It took me about 35 minutes, at 20 miles an hour, to make a 15 minute drive. I passed 3 wrecks, almost ran off the rode twice, and was so tense from all the chaos that my arms and legs were in pain!
I'm sure I was a little bit more panicked because I had Presley in the car with me...but lets be honest...all of us from the South have NO idea how to drive in this crap! I was a nervous wreck and had no intentions on driving back into work! But once I calmed down and talked to a few folks, I realized the interstate was clear and good to go. I came in but I was about an hour late. I think we're getting off early too because its suppose to get "worse." We'll see!
Anyways, other than that it has been a good morning. Other than having to talk to a few agents who always manage to annoy me. OH and lets not forget the one guy I talked to, that I don't even know, who chewed me out for about 10 minutes...with his wife on the other phone chiming in the whole time. It has just been peachy!
But its almost Friday. And we might get off work early. So I'm staying positive today.

Oh my gosh! I didn't know there was ice on any of the roads. I guess that justifies all the closings. Too bad we didn't get more snow!
Oh gosh Candice!! My drive in was clear and good to go...but I was also on the interstate which was clear from everyone else cruising along. Im worried about this afternoon since the temps are dropping and the snow will be melting....ICE!!!
Please be careful. Thankfully I work with Fred; so, he drove me. I think we're leaving early too which is nice. I don't like this stuff! Hope your day gets better!
