Good Night New York City

Had to show this first...

This was a few weeks ago...the first time she fell out of her bed. We had just taken down the front of her crib... then the safety rail a few nights later. Then a few nights after that, I went in there to check on her, and there she was...Sound asleep on the floor. Precious.

Close up look...

Her sweet little head is laying on her favorite little lamb that she sleeps with every night. It doesn't get more peaceful than this.

Now she is in a twin bed, which she has only fallen out of once.

She thinks its really something special.

I do, too.

I've always thought about the days when I'd be able to climb in bed with her and read bedtime stories.

Here is my FAVORITE!

As y'all know, New York is one of my favorite places to vacation. Ok... it IS my favorite place to vacation. My best friend Candice has just as much love for that city as I do.
We talk all the time about how we can't wait to take Presley there one day....just the gals...eat some Frozen Hot Chocolate at Serendipty, a little F.A.O Schwarz...all the wonderful things every little girl needs to experience one day!
So for Christmas, Candice got her Good Night New York City! I seriously almost cried! I had never seen any other version than Good Night Moon! But apparently there is a whole world of Good Night books out there (please check them out), and I plan to start a collection! I'm going to get her the Good Night Tennessee one first....then The Beach and Arizona since she will be visiting both for the first time this year. I think it'll be a sweet tradition to start with her and our other children!
My other favorite bedtime storey is Llama Llama Red Pajama. Presley loves this book, too... probably because Santa brought it ;)

One of my New Years resolutions is to read more to Presley. Don't get me wrong...we do it ALL the time. She absolutely loves books. I really think that is her favorite thing to do. But, being the busy mom that I am, I don't get to do it every single night. But I think the joy I get when I'm climbing into bed with her to read, will not make this a difficult goal to obtain.
Well, Good Night world. Sweet dreams!
