Then there is Oral Comm...the dreaded Oral Comm. I've avoided this class like the plague for four years. But now I can't get into the TEP (Teachers Education Program) until I take it. And if I don't get into the TEP before spring, I might just not have anything left to take next semester! So, I thought about dropping it a million times, but I figure I'm already ahead of the game because...
1. My teacher did not make us do the introductory speech. Hallelujah.
2. I will be missing 3 classes...1 for our fall break, 1 for Shelby County School's fall break (since I take the class off campus), and 1 for the week we go out west to visit my sister!
3. I have to take it eventually, so might as well get it over with now.
Plus, I doubt I'll be this lucky the next time I try to take it. But I'm totally not looking forward to it. I HATE speaking in front of people. I slur my speech, mumble, break out in hives....the works.
There is one good thing about this semester though...it puts me that much closer to the end! Starting next semester I should be taking all my major/professional classes, other than a Bio lecture I have to re-take. So I'm going to make the best of it.
Not much else going on around here other than....
Today is my beautiful sister's birthday!!!

I hate I can't be there to celebrate with her, but she has a special card coming her way! I bought her a card where you could record your own message, and Presley did the honors...
"Appy Birday CC...I luh you"
Pretty sweet if I do say so myself :)

I just started school too... 16 more weeks and I'm DONE with my BA! Oh, how I can't wait. I can't imagine how busy you are with a family too!!! Good luck and keep up the positive attitude!
I avoided Oral Com forever too until I just HAD to take it. Ugh, that class is so stupid! You'll survive it though!
I am so J! I still have class tonight before my first week will be over!
I absolutely dreaded taking the Speech class too... I lucked into having a relatively small class when I finally gave in, so atleast if I was required to speak in front of people it was only like 30 instead of 200!
Honestly, looking back it wasn't THAT bad. I survived the 6 speeches, I bet you will too =)
