Presley's Room

Fall is almost here ladies! I know for some of you its already nice and chilly and you're experiencing the first signs of pretty fall leaves. But in Memphis, its not technically fall until October...and even then its questionable. You never know whether you're going to be freezing or sweating on Halloween night!

I woke up this morning to the amazing smell of my Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin wallflowers (from Bath and Body Works). It was even a little chilly outside when I let Jake and Sam out!

Well I told y'all forever ago that I was working on Presley's room and that I would post some pictures. I've just now gotten around to wrapping it up with some little details like pictures, knick knacks, etc. I'm trying REALLY HARD to only keep things I truly love and want to use, but its so hard. She had so many things that people had given her when she was baby, and I almost feel guilty not using them all in her room.

Ok...don't make fun of me, but shes only been in a twin bed since January...and this is her THIRD bed. But I promise I have a really good reason...

This bed belonged to Presley's great-great grandmother. My mother sanded down that old green, rusty paint and refinished it. I love it.

Presley's little reading nook....

Its hard to tell because of the light, but this is what the lamp looks like. It is actually from the Owl collection at Target, but it also matched the green in her Pottery Barn bedding. And the little owls look so cute when the lamp is on...almost like they're peaking out of the tree!

I got this bench over the weekend at the Germantown Craft Festival for only $37!!! And it even has a bench in the seat where she can store her goods!

It really completed her room...at least I felt like it did :)

And thats it! I'm debating on getting one of those tree decals that you put on the wall, with the owls/birds, etc, but I'm worried it'll be "too much." I tend to go overboard with themes haha. But hey, its a little girls room...I might as well have fun with it!

Her room is soooo cute!! :) You have great taste and I love that it isn't a "traditional" girls bedroom - ya know, equipped with pink, ballerinas, princess, etc!
