As exciting as I am about all of this, I cant help but be a little sad. I mean, she was just this small....like, yesterday. When did she grow up?!

Tonight Clinton was working late, so I went to Target and McAlisters with my MIL. She wanted to buy Presley some "big girl panties" since we're going to start potty training this weekend. She got her the good ole' fashioned whitey tighties AND a pack of Fancy Nancy panties!! For those of y'all that don't know who Fancy Nancy is, here is a sneak peak....

My bff Kelly got Presley a Fancy Nancy book and dress for her bday, and P is lovin' her! So as soon as I saw them, I knew those were the ones to get! P was soooo excited when she saw them! She was just laughing and clapping away!
*
On my way home I stopped by my parents to drop some stuff off, and my mom asked Presley if she could see her big girl panties. So I let Presley try on a pair over her diaper, and she kept raising her dress to show them off to my parents haha! It was the cutest thing ever! THEN daddy called....

Good Lord. All I have to say is 1) Men are crazy, and 2) Poor Presley.
*
When I answered the phone, Presley started yelling for daddy to look at her (through the phone of course) so she could show him her new panties! When he asked what was going on, I told him that his mom bought her Fancy Nancy panties....and this was how the rest went down....

Me: You're mom bought P Fancy Nancy panties and she's freaking out excited!!
*
Clinton: WHAT??? Panties??? What do you mean panties??? What kind???
*
Me: (Extremely confused) Ummmm What kind? I'm not following....
*
Clinton: You mean like real panties???!!! Like, underwear???
*
Me: Ummm yes those would be the kind I'm talking about. As far as I know, those are the only kind of panties around.
*
Clinton: No. No. Shes not wearing those. I dont even like that word.
*
Me: Ummm (no I am not exaggerating on the 'ummmms)....well....sweetie....she has to wear 'panties' at some point. She cant wear diapers forever.
*
Clinton: I don't like this.
*
Me: Well heck, I would sure hate to see what you would've done when we passed the training bra aisle.
*
Clinton: Oh my God.
*
Soooo....as you can see I have a long road ahead of me. And I'm not referring to potty training Presley. But I would LOVE suggestions, ideas, feedback...whatever you got....on this whole potty training thing! I'm clueless!!

What a cute post. Your hubs is too funny! I didn't know they made Fancy Nancy panties... going to get some!!! Good luck on the training, sounds like you guys are on the right track.
Hahaha! That is priceless! Like your hubby, I hate the word panties. Seriously, I cringe when I hear or if I accidentally say it! Call me old fashion, but I like undies or underwear!
I love you guys
you don't need anyhelp you guys are doing great!!!!
Great post!! I'm so happy for P and Clinton is hilarious!!! Men just don't understand I think, but it seems your doing great with the potty training thing, I let my boys do it when they were ready and I think it makes it much easier, sounds like P is ready!!! Have a great weekend!
Aw Sweet P is growing up and becoming a big girl!!! :) I'm so happy for her! I know she must be so proud! And haha! Oh Clinton! Or Quintel! hahaha! I just want you to know that when Presley goes on her first date...I am coming over to watch it before hand! hahahahaha!
Sounds like you are doing a great job with the potty training. Like Katie, I let Chase tell me when he was ready. We started potty training right after he turned 3 and he was accident free and out of pull ups in about 3 months. I used "Potty Presents". Everytime he told me he needed to go or went on his own he got to pick a present out of the bag. Most of them were dollar store toys or candy. It worked great! Good luck!
AHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!! Clinton cracks me up!!
The only thing we did that I think helped alot was to offer her something if she went.....one week she would get a sticker everytime she went, the next it was 2 M&M's, and so on to other small prizes. The best advice I have for you though is seriosuly dont push her too hard, if she starts having lots of accidents then thats ok, stop trying for a couple weeks then ask if she wants to try again, thats just what worked for us. But.....I have a feeling sweet little Presley is going to do just fine. Good Luck to yall and have a great weekend!
First, I love Fancy Nancy!
Second, I am loving your husband, how funny!
That is hilarious! I think your hubster is in for a bit of shock on down the road!
My mom bought me a book (before he was even born.. haha) written by a woman that appeared on Oprah (so of course that makes her legite ;))and it is called Potty Train your child in just one day by Terri Crane. I haven't even looked at it, but she said she was awesome on Oprah. Hope that helps!
