What a weekend!

Hello Bloggers...Remember me??? Lord, I have not had time to blog...in fact, those days of blogging daily are gone. But I really wanted to share about my weekend because it was one of the best I've had in a loooong time!

This weekend me and my bff Candice went to Atlanta to see David Gray!!!

I can probably guess what most of you are thinking...who is David Gray??? Well, you probably know his music and just dont realize it. A few of his famous ones are "This Years Love" and "Babylon." But he has so many more wonderful songs than that!
****
But to backtrack a little bit, Candice picked me up at 5:45 on Saturday morning. We had a 6 hour drive ahead of us, so we wanted to get there early enough to do some shopping and get some rest before the concert.
***
We had the best time ever driving down there! It was so awesome catching up with Can since I haven't been able to talk, email, or anything else for the past few weeks. We reminisced, gossiped, laughed, and listened to some good tunes! The 6 hour drive felt like 2!!
***
We got to Atlanta about 1:00. Our initial plan was to go shopping, but while we were driving around downtown we came across the most beautiful houses we had ever seen! So instead, we drove up and down all those streets daydreaming about the life they had...and that we wanted!
***
We went and had sushi before the concert, then headed over to the Atlanta Civic Center to see our man!! All I can say is A-MAZING! If you are a DG fan, then you need to find a way to go see him now!!!!

It was THE BEST concert I've ever been to in my life! First of all, it was nice going to a concert that hadn't been taken over by half-dressed teeny boppers that wanna stand the whole time, jumping up and down, taking pictures of themselves!
***
It was so enjoyable and relaxing to just sit back in your seat and take it all in. Although it was a super laid back concert, David Gray was full of energy! If you take a second to youtube some of his songs, you'll see that he doesn't sit still for a second! He makes me laugh because he bops his head around so much....and I find myself just bopping right along with him!
***
Can and I pretty much decided that we're going to have to go see him again...and soon! Yes, he was that incredible! I have never sat through an entire concert where I honestly enjoyed every single song. Usually I'm over it about halfway through it, but I honestly couldn't get enough of him! I could have sat there forever...and I think most of the audience would've agreed!
***
So if nothing else, please go listen to this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUY7KYeWGzc .....
Then when your done, check out a few of his others.
Oh, and did I mention he's British, too?? Yep! Gotta love his precious accent! Well, I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend, too! Talk to ya soon!
