Hey Peeps!
Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was pretty good. I don't know if I've mentioned it on here or not, but my sister came in town Tuesday night and heads back to Phoenix tomorrow. We've had a really great time hanging out, shopping, celebrating my daddy's birthday...the whole 9 :)
Friday night I had to meet up with a girl in my class to work on a school project. We have to design a school exactly how we would want it if we had a choice. Now, some people use a shoe box and decorate it, then draw a floor plan to go along with it. There have been others that made a 6ft long display of a school, depicting every hallway and room that could be found. We kinda decided to find some middle ground, and I'm really excited about it.
We're both Idealist so we paired together for the project...that way we would tend to want the same things. We decided on an all girls "Ivy league" style private school. I'm decorating the building to look like its covered in stone and ivy, etc. We are only offering the most "elite" extracurricular activities haha. Basically the kind of school I could only dream to go to...or send Presley to.
So I got home Friday night and still had the whole "private school" thing on my mind. I started researching all the local private schools in our area and priced them per school year. Some are totally out of the question...others could actually be possible if we really tried. However, the problem comes when we have more kids...I know we can't afford to send ALL of them to private school.
But, I just dont know what to do. I have never really cared for private school. I don't disagree with the whole fact that you might receive a better education from private school....but, I do NOT think that it necessarily means you'll have a better future. I know way too many private school kids that never did a dang thing with their life after high school. But my deal with public school is "what" they are being taught. After this semester with one of my teachers, it really scared me to think about the kinds of things that Presley will be hearing about when she gets to school. I just really want her to go to a Christian private school. There is one in our area that she can start attending when she's 3, then move into another campus once she starts kindergarten, but I'm just not really impressed just yet. Its the only one thats in our price range already...hence the reason we can afford it I'm sure haha.... but we'll just have to see. So for all you Memphis gals...all suggestions are welcomed.
Well, as for the rest of the weekend goes, me and my mom and sister pretty much shopped all day long. Crystal brought Presley a sweet little Easter dress and I can't wait to see her in it! We celebrated my daddy's birthday last night at J. Alexander's...YUMMY! Today I cleaned, studied, then studied some more with some girls from class. Super exciting day, let me tell ya.
Anyways, enough of that. On to more important news....
I've converted another Non-Twilight believer and I am THRILLED! Ashley is a friend from work and she has had no interest WHAT-SO-EVER in Twilight! But she went to see Remember Me the other night and fell in love with Rob...I mean, how could you not?!! So she finally agreed to let me bring her Twilight! I brought it on Wednesday (I think), and she finished it Friday night! I got a text from her today asking me to bring New Moon tomorrow!!! WOOOHOOO!
Well hope you ladies have a wonderful Monday. This should be pretty quick week for me! I have work, tons of school crap, then a half day on Friday so I can get my hair did! I'm still debating on my dang haircut...UGH!!!!
Oh well, have a good week!

Glad you had a fun weekend with your sister!!! :-) I love sister time!!
Haha! I am anti- Twilight...Not sure if you could convert me...but I'm glad to hear that this is possible!!
Sounds like you had a great weekend! Enjoy the week :)
Haha another successful conversion! Well you know if we had stayed in Memphis Lawson would have gone to Woodland Pres. The Memphis City Schools are NOT an option. Not to mention I want him to have a Christ-centered education if at all possible. They've even taken most holidays out of the public schools. No fun parties or activities:(
