Pray for Lucy

It's late and I'm mentally and physically exhausted. As I'm getting ready to sign off for the night and hit the sack, I see a post on facebook about this precious little girl above, with a link to her momma's blog. How quickly did I remember just how little I know about being mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted.

I've been praying for Lucy since I found out about her situation on Friday. A girl that I work with knows Lucy's mom (I've since discovered that we have a few mutual friends), and she came into work on Friday bearing some of the most heart breaking news.

I don't want to butcher the story, but apparently Lucy had been complaining of headaches for a little bit. When her mother took her to the doctor, they discovered that there was so much more to it than that. She had multiple tumors on her brain and spine. They have been able to remove some, but not others. She will have to undergo chemo and radiation for the remainder of the tumors.

I've been praying for Lucy and her family daily, and I ask that you do the same, too. It's amazing how fast life can change, and it has really made me realize how I need to take more time to cherish my family and our time together. You never know what the future holds and what God's plan will be.

But I ask that you also take the time to jump over to Kate's page and give her some words of encouragement. She is amazingly strong, whether she knows it or not, but we all know she can never hear enough people tell her that her little girl is in their thoughts and prayers.
