My sweet Angel

This Christmas season I was blessed with the opportunity to see my sweet little P perform in her first Christmas program! The teachers really didn't tell us anything about it, and I made sure to not ask questions so that I could be completely surprised! I've been waiting for these special moments for so long, but as I was sitting there waiting for her to come out, I started thinking about how it came all too fast. The 30 minute wait felt like an eternity and my stomach was full of butterflys. I know, I'm pathetic!

The Christmas "play" was based on Christmas around the world...which I really didn't get because all they did was sing songs like Jingle Bells and Santa Clause is Coming to Town haha! But it was still precious!
And there she is...my sweet little Angel! You can barely tell, but I have a red circle around her face so you can see her. Go figure she would be the one laughing and cutting up instead of singing her song. She had a blast though, and it melted my heart.

I stay teary-eyed the entire program, but somehow I managed to keep it all together. I just couldn't help but think how fast time has gone by and how much I cherish this sweet little girl.

I had fully planned on having all the teachers and classmates goodies put together for the day of the Christmas program, but of course I didn't get them done in time. So I worked till midnight on Sunday to get them done. I made each of the kids ornaments with their initials, put together their little buckets of goodies, and made reindeer food for the teachers. Whew.
While I was working hard on P's classmate gifts, I could hear her just talking up a storm in her bedroom. When I rounded the corner to see what she was doing, I found this...

She was sitting in her chair reading a book to all her babies. *Sigh* You can't tell here, but there was a baby sitting in the stroller, one in the chair with her, and one on the floor in front of her propped up in front of the nightstand. When she caught me taking a picture of her, she just turned around and smiled, and went right back to reading!

After I sat there and just listened to her for a while, I had to get back to work! Here's a pic of the yummmmy Reindeer Food I make every year.

And the little buckets I filled with goodies for Presley's friends :)

Each of them had a pack of stickers, a Santa or Frosty straw, a candy cane, and their personalized ornament.

I got all of the teachers a $10 gift card to Target, body wash, body lotion, and hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works, and a bucket of Reindeer Food. And this is what I ended up with!

And while we're on this topic...do any of you have any ideas for Teacher's gifts? I had the hardest time with this. I know that people tend to make treats for teachers because its cheap and easy, but I really wanted to get them something they would enjoy. Any ideas for future reference are welcomed!

And last but not least, Presley on pajama day! My mom got her these sweet pj's from Pottery Barn and they are the softest. things. ever. I want some for myself!!! Then of course she had to wear her bunny slippers. She's such a mess, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Speaking of a "mess," thats what I was yesterday when I picked her up from school. When I got to the car, I realized that there was a letter attached to her daily sheet...a letter informing me that they were moving her up to the 3 yr old class on Monday. WHAT?! I mean, it's obviously not a huge shocker...she is about to be 3 in February. And Lord, I've been talking about her birthday party for a freakin week! But I just couldn't hold back the tears when I saw it written on paper...still makes me cry just thinking about it. I just don't know where the time went! And on top of that, I LOOOVE her teacher, Miss Ashley. I don't know who will have a harder time with this transition...me, Presley, or Miss Ashley. So say a prayer for all of us come Monday morning!

Well have a happy Wednesday! I'll post pictures of Christmas Eve and Day tomorrow, and that will pretty much wrap up our busy month!
