Day 2 of our road trip- Santa Fe, NM!

Well there isn't any point in starting with Day 1 since it only consisted of driving, driving, and a little more driving.

We arrived in Amarillo, TX Friday night which was a little over half of our drive. I'm not gonna lie...the drive through Arkansas, Oklahoma, and TX was just a little on the boring side. Thank God that my amazing father-in-law gave me his air card so that I could work on some homework. Otherwise, I might have gone stir crazy during those first 10 hours.

Saturday we woke up and headed to Santa Fe. We had decided before going out of town that we wanted to go a little out of the way so we could check out Santa Fe and maybe do a little site seeing. I had always heard that it was beautiful, so I couldn't go all the way to New Mexico and not go through it. I made the right decision...I LOVED it!

Seriously, I think Clinton, my parents, and myself are trying to find a way to move there hah! It really is the perfect town....not too big, but has everything under the sun that you need. But the historical part of the town was the absolute best.

The architecture of all the buildings was my absolute favorite part of Santa Fe. It was so different than anything I'm use to here in the South.
The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi...gorgeous!

We walked around and visited all the little shops, had lunch at a "real" Mexican restaurant, and just enjoyed the beautiful sites of Santa Fe.

Santa Fe is definitely a town worth checking out if you're ever looking for a nice, peaceful getaway. I'm looking forward to the day when I can go back and spend a few days instead of only a few hours.

One last picture...My sweet little P after a looong car ride. So sweet!

In case I don't get on here tomorrow, have a fabulous Thanksgiving!
