Presley's first movie

Last week I decided to take my chances and takePresley to her very first movie. One of my best friends, Kelly, and I decided to take our 3 girls to see nothing other than the Wizard of Oz...their favorite movie! Originally I wasn't going to take Presley just because she's not really a movie/t.v. person...so I figured she would just get really bored. But Kelly convinced me otherwise and I'm so glad she did!

The movie was playing downtown at the Orpheum. During the summer they'll play a lot of old movies, and it's always fun going there to watch them. Theres something about watching a movie there...makes you feel all important or something ha!

Kelly brought her camera along and was kind enough to share the pics with me.

Before the movie, we had dinner at Majestic Grille. I've been wanting to eat there forever because I've only heard amazing things about it. Its right by the Orpheum, and a lot of times they do themed dinners depending on the play going on at that time. They have a huge movie screen inside the restaurant, too, and it was playing an old Judy Garland movie. Loved it! Anyway, here's a pic of me and Presley :)

After 10 minutes of trying to get them to sit on the SAME step, we finally got this picture of them inside the Orpheum...

Emma was the only one willing to have her picture taken with Glenda the good witch.

Presley thought about it for about a second...

Nope...not gonna happen.

Before the movie began, any of the kids that dressed up were able to come on stage for a costume contest...of course they all won :) It was really cute!
We had a great time and I can't wait to do it again. And speaking of the Orpheum...Friday I was online checking the time of the movie, and what did I find???

Jerry freakin Seinfeld is coming in September! So of course I email my other bff Candice and tell her about it....she and I both share the same kind of love for Jerry. When I called Clinton to tell him, he replied with "Oh. Yeah, I dont really like him." Exactly. But thats ok... Its a good thing I have Candice in my life (for more reasons than one)! She's my go-to person for all things in life that I love....vacations, NYC, and yes Seinfeld!! So we've booked our tickets and are counting down the days!!

Saturday night I saw my other bestie, Leigh Anne, and her fam (yes, I have 3 best friends...but thats it I promise). I'm so glad that they are finally back in Memphis!!! I've missed them so much!

Yesterday we started on a project that we really hadn't planned on this soon. We've been wanting to rip up the carpet in our bedrooms and put down laminate hardwoods to match our living room and hallways. We were going to do it at the end of summer, but we went ahead and got started yesterday...loooong story. Anway, I LOVE IT! Its so much better! We're going to replace the floor in the living room/halls too just because its so much nicer. I'll post pics soon :)

Well that about wraps up everything going on here! I hope yall have a fabulous week!
