Well today is my second weigh-in...and I'm just a little bit nervous! I feel like I've done good this week, but I haven't weighed so I have no idea where I stand!
The reason I decided not to weigh between meetings is pretty simple...before, I would weigh after a few days, see that I lost a couple lbs, then slack off the rest of the week. The "not knowing" has its benefits. I tend to pass up on temptations because I have no idea what my #'s are looking like for the week. In the past, I would've given in because I knew I had already succeeded some that week.
Another little trick I'm trying is something someone shared with me a long time ago, but I never tried it. For every lb that you lose, find something that weighs that much and put it on your kitchen table. That way you have a daily reminder of your success! In addition to that, you can also "feel" how much you lost. For someone like myself that has a 100 lbs to lose, 2 or 3 lbs doesnt seem like a lot...but when you actually hold 2 or 3 lbs in your hands, you realize its a lot better than you thought! I think this is a great idea for all shapes and sizes! I know I have a few friends that only have 5 or 10 lbs to lose, and a 1 lb weight loss doesnt seem like much to them...but when you see it measured in a stick of butter, it really opens your eyes!!
So those are my tips for the day! Both have really helped me get through these past 2 weeks! Tomorrow I will be blogging about my success!
On a different note, I found out yesterday that I'm going to Orlando in December for a "holiday party" with my company...Clinton gets to go too! We get to stay on a resort, but thats all I know...Lord, I hope its a resort in Disney World!! But, I have some mixed emotions about going. We had originally planned to visit Nashville/Franklin that weekend to see my bf LA and her husband and son. We were going to the Dickens Village in Franklin TN and then doing some shopping! We were also going to see some of our other friends/old neighbors for our yearly Christmas get-together. So I'm pretty bummed about missing all of that. But I feel like I need to go on the trip considering our company is going through some changes.
Well, thats all I have for today! I hope that all of you are having a wonderful week so far. Just think, Thanksgiving is next week...the holidays have officially arrived!!! Can't get much better than that!!!

What great tips on the weight loss! I have never thought of only weighing once a week instead of everyday.
Oh, how jealous am I about your trip to Orlando. Have fun and take pics with your new camera! I can't wait to hear how you like it.
My due date is March 12th.. it's going to be here before I know it!
i always thought it was so eye-opening on the Biggest Loser or other weight-loss shows where they make the contestants carry all the weight they have lost and then run through an obstacle course. Less than 2 months I'll be working on the same goals! i need to be a fit mommy!

Don't be nervous! Girl you are doing SO good there is nothing to worry about at all! I know your weigh-in will go fine! I think thats awesome about not weighing but more than once a week, that has been my rule or "law" haha even when I go to the doctor, like if it's before my weigh-in I just turn around and say don't tell me lol. There is deff. something in our minds that gets boosted by only doing it once and makes you want to work harder, so deff. keep that up! Can't wait to read your results!

Great weight loss tips. I know how hard it can be. I lost 35 lbs. last year. If you ever need to vent, let me know. I know you can do it!!! And how exciting about your holiday trip!!! Can't wait to hear more about it and your weight loss journey!
