Happy October 1st!!!
This is one of my favorite days of the year!! As I blogged about a few weeks ago, October 1st is my official kickoff to the holidays! And for once, it actually feels like fall outside! Here in good ole' Memphis, we rarely have a true "fall." We pretty much jump from extremely hot and HUMID weather to our sweaters and toboggans. Oh and forget about a beautiful snow filled winter, too. We have ice storms...and that is it.
None-the-less, I love Memphis because it is home...even if it is the arm pit of the nation (:wink:)

It's still hot and sticky here in Tampa too. Not as bad as a month ago, but not at Fall weather. I can't wait until I can bust out the cardis!
I think you are confusing Memphis with Mississippi...THAT is the armpit of the nation! It smells like one as soon as you cross the state line:)
I can't believe it is only 84 days until Christmas! (Well less than that now, but you know what I mean!) That makes me soo excited! I love the month of October too.. Tennessee is beautiful in the Fall.
