Happy Mothers Day!

This was an extra special Mother's Day for me because we had Presley's baby dedication at Ellendale! For those that don't know much about baby dedications, it's a time to come before the church and God and commit to raise your child in a Christian home. There were about 10 babies being dedicated so it was a very special day! Of course I forgot my camera in the car because I was so anxious...thankfully a girl took a picture for me (I don't even know her...oops) and shes going to get me a copy. Afterwards, we went to Clinton's parents house for lunch. Here are a few pics of the moms :)

My sweet pumpkin!

Three generations...me, Presley, and mom!

With my mother-in-law, Patti!

To top off the day, we had to call a Bee Catcher to come to our house and remove a huge bee nest! Saturday while we were out of town, we got a call from our neighbor about a bunch of bees in our tree. We really didn't think much about it, until about 4 phone calls later! It was pretty bad! But needless to say, it was pretty cool to see the Bee Catcher get all dressed up in his gear and set out a bee hive so he could catch all the bees. My pictures don't do it justice at all! There were thousands and they were flying around him everywhere! You cant really tell just bc they were moving so fast and everything. Anyways he's coming back tonight to pick them all up. We went out there about an hour ago and there wasn't one left on the tree...it worked!

Here is the bee hive. It's kind of hard to see, but it was about 3 inches deep! They had already started making a honey comb...they were obviously in no rush to leave!

The Bee Catcher!

Here's the man made bee hive that he used to place all the bees. He had to use our kennel so he could get it as close as possible to the nest.

He was raking the bees off in chunks bc there were so many. Its hard to tell, but look at the sky and on him...those spots are bees.

And last but NOT least...my friend Ashley had her baby tonight!! What an amazing Mothers Day gift! I've talked about Ashley before in an earlier blog. Some of us threw her a shower with a question mark theme bc her and Eddie were not finding out what they were having. Well, I wanted it to be a little girl so bad! If it was a girl, her name was going to be Olive. If it was a boy, his name would be Lincoln. Well ladies....OLIVE HAS ARRIVED! I'm so excited! I can't wait to go and see them after work tomorrow...pictures to follow!

Hey Candice! I found your blog through feedjit! I'm so glad you had a great mother's day with baby dedication and all! (I love baby dedications, but I missed it this year--I had the nursery.) :)

Precious pictures! Have a great week!
